First of all I want to congratulate to all my friends whose got 4 flats for their pspm 1. Congratulations (!)

Alhamdulillah I've already got my result for the pspm exam, I’m grateful with what I’ve get. I have to be grateful.

Because I believe in myself that I’ve done the best, even though it didn’t achieve with what I target for.

But I’m kindda bit sad...

How should I describe this kind of emotion...

I don’t feel like wanna talk to anybody...

Oh Allah! please give me some strength. Tears please don’t fall down, I don’t want to show how do I feel right now in front of my peers.

Based on my result what should I do now? Should I move out from this college and start from diploma?....

" I'm so sorry that I cant do well in this exam, how can I be so careless. But I've done my best during the exam. My result may not make you happy. Why did I took this subject actually?

I also don't get the point why I can be so strong taking this subject

My friends are all so brilliant in account, I feel a bit embarrassed being around them.

Sometimes I feel like I don't deserve to be here with such a smart and brilliant people.

I am not the same grade as them as smartest as them. I am just me who doesn’t know how to do anything in account subject. I feel so stupid sometimes. I always get the lowest marks in the class. I try to find someone to guide me in this subject, but they seems to busy with their life. Maybe I should stay focus and study hard during the lecture. I have to push on with this subject (!) I want to be smart like my classmates. They are all like the smartest person in the college. I’ve always been jealous of someone who knows to do everything in account. How I wish I had the smartest brain like them and how I wish I can be like them...

Assalamualaikum wbt.

I've been a walking heartache, counting on days until the result are about to come out. It's really make me feel like freaking scared. I have to get ready in mentally and physically.

3 days more to go, the result will ensure us whether we can continue our studies here or we will be kick out from this college. It make me nervous. I really don’t think that I can make during the exam.

I hope that I won’t be kick out from the college, my parents put so on so much hope on me. I pray that my result will success with flying colours. I hope so.

Some rumors said that there will be 25 accounts student will be kick out from the college, I’m so afraid if I am one of those candidates that will be kick out. But Madam Juji said that it just a rumors and not to believe with all the rumors. Because the College director will go to Putrajaya to take the result on these Monday and on the evening the examiners unit will do surveys on the results and so on. Then on the next day on 3 pm we will took the result at the Seri Kinta Hall.

I really sure there will be various kind of feeling in each students, including me. There will be moody, happy and speechless feeling for sure (!)

I wish that my result will turn out okay. Ameen, Insya-Allah.

Whatever my result may look like, I redha with the fate. Since I know that I've do the best during exam. I've to put on smiles on me no matter what happen. Jia you (!)

This is the time of the year when everybody talks about Hijrah.

Sweet talks yeah.

Lectures about Hijrah are flooding at mosques, on television, radios and even at your home with your family.

People are amused with these lectures. They feel entertained after hearing the story behind Hijrah.

“What a GREAT event!” They say in their hearts.

But all that feeling of greatness lasts only for an hour or two or less than that. Once they walk away to their homes, their just the same old person they were before. No change at all.

How many years have we lived?

How many times have we gone through Ma’al Hijrah?

Have we changed to a better person?

Talks are sweet to hear

We love to hear good things but we do not want to push ourselves to apply what we have heard.

We love to say good things but we fail love others.

We do not hold the concept of actions speak louder than words in our hearts.

What are left of our deeds are only words that do not exist in actions?

Hijrah is not merely an occasion but it is an example for us to follow.

Narrated ‘Umar:

I heard the Prophet saying, “The reward of deeds depends on the intentions, so whoever emigrated for the worldly benefits or to marry a woman, his emigration was for that for which he emigrated, but whoever emigrated for the Sake of Allah and His Apostle, his emigration is for Allah and His Apostle.” [1]

Change is a must!

Do you know why bad things always happen here and there? It is because of what we have done in this world. It is because we do not want to change! No denial.

Allah has said in His book so that we realize and take warning:

whatever misfortune happens to you, is because on the things your hands have wrought, and for many (of them) He grants Forgiveness.[2]

He also said:

whatever good, (o man!) happens to thee, is from Allah. but whatever evil happens to thee, is from Thy (own) soul. and we have sent Thee As an apostle to (instruct) mankind. and Enough is Allah for a witness.[3]

Conclusion: CHANGE!

Allah can change you but first you have to change yourself:

for Each (Such person) there are (angels) In succession, before and behind him: They guard Him by command of Allah. Verily never will Allah change the condition of a people until They change it themselves (with their own souls). but when (once) Allah willeth a people’s punishment, there can be no turning it back, nor will They find, besides him, any to protect.[4]

Let us change! Let us become better!

Sifat romantik Rasulullah s.a.w

Hari ni fza nak cerita pasal keromantikan Nabi Muhammad s.a.w terhadap isteri beliau seperti mane yang kite tahu memang Rasulullah s.a.w memang suami contoh yang terbaik yang boleh kite ikuti

Antara contoh-contoh yang dapat kite lihat seperti berikut:

1- Menyayangi isteri dengan sepenuh hati

Rasulullah s.a.w. menyayangi Khadijah r.a. dengan sepenuh hati kerana isterinya merupakan satu nikmat Allah terbesar yang dikurniakan kepada Rasulullah s.a.w. Baginda amat menyayanginya kerana:

Khadijah tinggal bersama Baginda selama suku abad dan mereka sama-sama merasai saat-saat suka duka.

Dia membantu Baginda ketika suasana yang getir dan sukar.

Dia sama-sama membantu Baginda menyebarkan risalah Allah.

Dia menyertai Baginda dalam jihad menegak agama Allah.

Dia mengorbankan kepentingan diri dan harta bendanya.

Rasulullah s.a.w. bersabda: “Dia, Khadijah beriman denganku ketika orang ramai mengkufuriku, dia mempercayaiku ketika orang ramai mendustakanku, dia berkongsi denganku harta bendanya ketika orang ramai menghalangku.” (Riwayat Ahmad dalam Musnad Ahmad 6/118)

2- Romantik

Rasulullah s.a.w. juga merupakan seorang yang romantik. Bagaimana romantiknya Rasulullah?

Tidur bersama isteri dalam satu selimut – Daripada Atha’ bin Yasar: “Sesungguhnya Rasulullah s.a.w. dan Aisyah r.a., selalu mandi bersama dalam satu bekas. Dan pernah suatu ketika Baginda tidur dengan Aisyah dalam satu selimut, tiba-tiba Aisyah bangun. Baginda kemudian bertanya, “Mengapa engkau bangun?” Jawab Aisyah, “Kerana saya haid wahai Rasulullah,” Sabda Rasulullah, “Kalau begitu, pergilah dan pakaikan kain dan dekatlah kembali kepadaku.” Aisyah pun masuk, lalu berselimut bersama Baginda.” (Riwayat Sa’id bin Manshur)

Saling memakaikan wangian – Aisyah berkata: “Sesungguhnya Nabi s.a.w. apabila meminyakkan badannya, Baginda akan memulai dengan auratnya, menggunakan nurah (sejenis serbuk pewangi) dan isteri Baginda meminyakkan bahagian lain daripada tubuh Rasulullah s.a.w.” (Riwayat Ibnu Majah)

Mandi bersama isteri – Daripada Aisyah r.a. beliau berkata, “Aku pernah mandi bersama Nabi s.a.w., menggunakan satu bekas. Kami bersama-sama memasukkan tangan kami (ke dalam bekas tersebut).” (Riwayat Abdurrazaq dan Ibnu Abu Syaibah)

Minum menggunakan bekas yang sama – Daripada Aisyah r.a. dia berkata, “Saya pernah minum daripada cawan yang sama walaupun ketika haid. Nabi mengambil cawan tersebut dan meletakkan mulutnya di tempat saya meletakkan mulut, lalu Baginda minum. Kemudian saya mengambil cawan tersebut lalu menghirup airnya, kemudian Baginda mengambilnya daripada saya, lalu Baginda meletakkan mulutnya pada tempat saya letakkan mulut saya, lalu Baginda pun menghirupnya.” (Riwayat Abdurrazaq dan Sa’id bin Manshur)

Membelai isteri – “Adalah Rasulullah s.a.w. tidaklah berlalu setiap hari melainkan Baginda mesti mengelilingi kami semua (isterinya) seorang demi seorang Baginda menghampiri dan membelai kami tetapi tidak bersama (bersetubuh) sehingga Baginda singgah ke tempat isteri yang menjadi giliran Baginda, lalu Baginda bermalam di sana.” (Riwayat Ahmad)

Mencium isteri – Daripada Hafshah, puteri Umar r.ha. : “Sesungguhnya Rasulullah s.a.w. mencium isterinya sekalipun sedang berpuasa.” (Riwayat Ahmad)

Berbaring di pangkuan isteri – Daripada Aisyah r.a., “Nabi s.a.w. meletakkan kepalanya di pangkuanku walaupun aku sedang haid, kemudian Baginda membaca al-Quran.” (Riwayat Abdurrazaq)

Panggilan mesra – Rasulullah s.a.w. memanggil Aisyah dengan beberapa nama panggilan yang disukainya seperti Aisy dan Humaira‘ (si pipi merah delima).

Menyejukkan kemarahan isteri dengan mesra – Nabi s.a.w. memicit hidung Aisyah r.ha. sekiranya dia marah dan Baginda berkata, “Wahai Uwaisy, bacalah doa: “Wahai Tuhanku, Tuhan Muhammad, ampunilah dosa-dosaku, hilangkanlah kekerasan hatiku dan lindungilah diriku daripada fitnah yang menyesatkan.” (Riwayat Ibnu Sunni)

Memberi hadiah – Daripada Ummu Kaltsum binti Abu Salamah, dia berkata, “Ketika Nabi s.a.w. berkahwin dengan Ummu Salamah, Baginda bersabda kepadanya: “Sesungguhnya aku hendak memberikan hadiah kepada Raja Najasyi sepersalinan pakaian dan beberapa botol minyak kasturi, namun aku mengetahui bahawa Raja Najasyi telah meninggal dunia dan aku mengagak hadiah itu akan dikembalikan kepadaku, aku akan memberikannya kepadamu.” Dia (Ummu Kaltsum) berkata, “Benarlah keadaan Raja Najasyi seperti yang disabdakan Rasulullah s.a.w. dan hadiah tersebut dikembalikan kepada Baginda, lalu Baginda memberikan kepada isteri-isterinya sebotol minyak kasturi, manakala baki daripada minyak kasturi dan pakaian tersebut Baginda beri kepada Ummu Salamah.” (Riwayat Ahmad)

3- Menghormati dan menjaga perasaan isteri

Rasulullah s.a.w. merupakan seorang suami yang sentiasa menghormati dan menjaga perasaan isterinya. Suatu ketika, ketika Rasulullah hendak melaksanakan solat malam, Baginda mendekati isterinya Aisyah. Aisyah berkata: “Di tengah malam Baginda mendekatiku dan ketika kulitnya bersentuhan dengan kulitku Baginda berbisik, “Wahai Aisyah, izinkan aku untuk beribadah kepada Tuhanku.”

4- Tidak berkasar dan berlemah lembut dengan isteri

Berdasarkan sebuah hadis yang diriwayatkan dari Rasulullah s.a.w. bahawa pada suatu hari salah seorang isterinya datang dengan membawa makanan untuk dikirimkan kepada Rasulullah yang sedang berada di rumah Aisyah. Tiba-tiba Aisyah dengan sengajanya menjatuhkan makanan itu sehingga piring tersebut pecah dan makanannya jatuh berderai. Melihat sikap Aisyah tersebut, Rasulullah s.a.w. tidak berkasar dengan Aisyah sebaliknya dengan lemah lembutnya Baginda meminta Aisyah menggantikan makanan tersebut.

5- Membantu isteri

Dalam sebuah hadis yang diriwayatkan oleh Imam Bukhari, Aisyah r.ha. pernah ditanya seorang lelaki yang bernama Aswad tentang apa yang dilakukan oleh Rasulullah s.a.w. ketika berada di dalam rumahnya? Maka Aisyah menjawab: “Rasulullah s.a.w. sentiasa membantu ahli keluarganya melakukan kerja rumah. Dan apabila tiba masuk waktu solat, baginda keluar untuk solat.”

Demikianlah beberapa contoh bagaimana Rasulullah s.a.w. menunjukkan akhlak yang sangat mulia. Kepulangan Rasulullah s.a.w. ke rumah bukan sekadar untuk beristirehat dan bermesra dengan ahli keluarganya sahaja. Bahkan, Baginda di rumahnya juga adalah untuk membantu isterinya menguruskan rumah tangga. Inilah yang Baginda lakukan walaupun mempunyai tugas dan tanggungjawab di luar rumah.

Kesimpulannya, kita perlu mencontohi akhlak dan keperibadian Baginda tersebut. Sesibuk-sibuk kita, tidak seperti sibuknya Rasulullah s.a.w. Setinggi-tinggi pangkat kita di tempat kerja, tidaklah setinggi pangkat dan darjat Rasulullah s.a.w. Betapa besarnya pengorbanan Rasulullah s.a.w. sebagai seorang suami terhadap isterinya.

Bercinta dengan Rasulullah

Selamat menyambut Maulidur Rasul
Sama-sama lah kita memperingati Rasulullah SAW dan
meneruskan perjuangan Baginda menegakkan Kalimah LailahaillALLAH!

Ada sebuah kisah tentang cinta yang sebenar-benar cinta yang dicontohkan Allah melalui kehidupan Rasul-Nya. Pagi itu, walaupun langit telah mulai menguning, burung-burung gurun enggan mengepakkan sayap. Pagi itu, Rasulullah dengan suara terbatas memberikan kutbah:

"Wahai umatku, kita semua ada dalam kekuasaan Allah dan cinta kasih-Nya. Maka taati dan bertakwalah kepada-Nya. Kuwariskan dua perkara pada kalian, Al Qur'an dan sunnahku. Barang siapa mencintai sunnahku, bererti mencintai aku dan kelak orang-orang yang mencintaiku, akan masuk syurga bersama-sama aku."

Khutbah singkat itu diakhiri dengan pandangan mata Rasulullah yang tenang dan penuh minat menatap sahabatnya satu persatu. Abu Bakar menatap mata itu dengan berkaca-kaca, Umar dadanya naik turun menahan nafas dan tangisnya. Usman menghela nafas panjang dan Ali menundukkan kepalanya dalam-dalam. Isyarat itu telah datang, saatnya sudah tiba.

"Rasulullah akan meninggalkan kita semua,"keluh hati semua sahabat kala itu.

Manusia tercinta itu, hampir selesai menunaikan tugasnya di dunia. Tanda-tanda itu semakin kuat, tatkala Ali dan Fadhal dengan cergas menangkap Rasulullah yang berkeadaan lemah dan goyah ketika turun dari mimbar. Disaat itu, kalau mampu, seluruh sahabat yang hadir di sana pasti akan menahan detik-detik berlalu.

Matahari kian tinggi, tapi pintu rumah Rasulullah masih tertutup. Sedang di dalamnya, Rasulullah sedang terbaring lemah dengan keningnya yang berkeringat dan membasahi pelepah kurma yang menjadi alas tidurnya.

Tiba-tiba dari luar pintu terdengar seorang yang berseru mengucapkan salam. "Bolehkah saya masuk?" tanyanya. Tapi Fatimah tidak mengizinkannya masuk, "Maafkanlah, ayahku sedang demam," kata Fatimah yang membalikkan badan dan menutup pintu.

Kemudian ia kembali menemani ayahnya yang ternyata sudah membuka mata dan bertanya pada Fatimah, "Siapakah itu wahai anakku?" "Tak tahulah ayahku, orang sepertinya baru sekali ini aku melihatnya," tutur Fatimah lembut.

Lalu, Rasulullah menatap puterinya itu dengan pandangan yang menggetarkan. Seolah-olah bahagian demi bahagian wajah anaknya itu hendak dikenang.

"Ketahuilah, dialah yang menghapuskan kenikmatan sementara, dialah yang memisahkan pertemuan di dunia. Dialah malakul maut," kata Rasulullah.

Fatimah pun menahan ledakkan tangisnya. Malaikat maut datang menghampiri, tapi Rasulullah menanyakan kenapa Jibril tidak ikut sama menyertainya. Kemudian dipanggilah Jibril yang sebelumnya sudah bersiap di atas langit dunia menyambut ruh kekasih Allah dan penghulu dunia ini.

"Jibril, jelaskan apa hakku nanti di hadapan Allah?" Tanya Rasululllah dengan suara yang amat lemah.

"Pintu-pintu langit telah terbuka, para malaikat telah menanti ruhmu. Semua syurga terbuka lebar menanti kedatanganmu," kata Jibril. Tapi itu ternyata tidak membuatkan Rasulullah lega, matanya masih penuh kecemasan.

"Engkau tidak senang mendengar khabar ini?" Tanya Jibril lagi.

"Khabarkan kepadaku bagaimana nasib umatku kelak?"

"Jangan khawatir, wahai Rasul Allah, aku pernah mendengar Allah berfirman kepadaku: 'Kuharamkan syurga bagi siapa saja, kecuali umat Muhammad telah berada di dalamnya," kata Jibril.

Detik-detik semakin dekat, saatnya Izrail melakukan tugas. Perlahan ruh Rasulullah ditarik. Nampak seluruh tubuh Rasulullah bersimbah peluh, urat-urat lehernya menegang.

"Jibril, betapa sakit sakaratul maut ini." Perlahan Rasulullah mengaduh. Fatimah terpejam, Ali yang di sampingnya menunduk semakin dalam dan Jibril memalingkan muka.

"Jijikkah kau melihatku, hingga kau palingkan wajahmu Jibril?" Tanya Rasulullah pada Malaikat pengantar wahyu itu.

"Siapakah yang sanggup, melihat kekasih Allah direnggut ajal," kata Jibril.

Sebentar kemudian terdengar Rasulullah memekik, kerana sakit yang tidak tertahankan lagi. "Ya Allah, dahsyat nian maut ini, timpakan saja semua siksa maut ini kepadaku, jangan pada umatku."Badan Rasulullah mulai dingin, kaki dan dadanya sudah tidak bergerak lagi. Bibirnya bergetar seakan hendak membisikkan sesuatu, Ali segera mendekatkan telinganya. "Uushiikum bis shalati, wa maa malakat aimanuku, peliharalah shalat dan peliharalah orang-orang lemah di antaramu."

Di luar pintu tangis mulai terdengar bersahutan, sahabat saling berpelukan. Fatimah menutupkan tangan di wajahnya, dan Ali kembali mendekatkan telinganya ke bibir Rasulullah yang mulai kebiruan.

"Ummatii, ummatii, ummatiii?" – "Umatku, umatku, umatku"

Dan, berakhirlah hidup manusia mulia yang memberi sinaran itu. Kini, mampukah kita mencintai sepertinya?

Allahumma sholli 'ala Muhammad wa baarik wa salim 'alaihi

Betapa cintanya Rasulullah kepada kita.

Semoga kita hargai segala pengorban Rasulullah SAW

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds, and blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his family and companions. Allah has chosen for us Islam as our religion and He will not accept any other religion from anyone, as He says (interpretation of the meaning):

“And whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted of him, and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers" [Aal ‘Imraan 3:85]

And the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) told us that groups of his ummah would follow the enemies of Allah in some of their rituals and customs, as it says in the hadeeth of Abu Sa’eed al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him), who narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “You will certainly follow the ways of those who came before you, span by span, cubit by cubit, until even if they were to enter a lizard’s hole, you would follow them.” We said, “O Messenger of Allah, (do you mean) the Jews and Christians?” He said, “Who else? !” (Narrated by al-Bukhaari in al-I’tisaam bi’l-Kitaab wa’l-Sunnah, Baab Qawl al-Nabi (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) La tattabi’unna Sanan man kaana qablakum, 8/151; and by Muslim in Kitaab al-‘Ilm, Baab Ittibaa’ Sanan al-Yahood wa’l-Nasaara, 4/ 2054)

What the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) spoke of has indeed come to pass and has become widespread in recent times, in many of the Muslim countries. Many of the Muslims follow the enemies of Allah in many of their customs and ways of behaving, and imitate them in some of their rituals and in celebrating their holidays. The matter has been made even worse by the opening up of mass communications between peoples, whereby the rituals and customs of the kuffaar are now transmitted with the glamorous adornment of sound and image from their countries into the Muslim countries, via satellite TV and the World Wide Web (Internet). Many Muslims have been deceived by their glamour.

Among the most important symbols of this holiday:

1 – Expressing joy and happiness on this occasion, as on their other major festivals.

Firstly: That its origins lie in the pagan beliefs of the Romans, where it was an expression of the spiritual love of the idols which they used to worship instead of Allah. Whoever celebrates it is celebrating an occasion of shirk on which the idols are venerated. Allah says (interpretation of the meaning): “Verily, whosoever sets up partners (in worship) with Allah, then Allah has forbidden Paradise to him, and the Fire will be his abode. And for the Zaalimoon (polytheists and wrongdoers) there are

no helpers” [al-Maa’idah 5:72]

2 – Exchanging red roses, which are an expression of love, the “spiritual love” of the pagans or the “love” of the Christians. Hence it is known to them as the Feast of Lovers.

Secondly: That the development of this festival among the Romans was connected to myths and legends which no sound mind can accept, let alone the mind of the Muslim who believes in Allah and His Messengers (peace be upon them). Can anyone of sound mind believe that a she-wolf suckled the founder of the city of Rome and gave him strength and wisdom. Moreover, these myths go against the belief (‘aqeedah) of the Muslim because the One Who bestows strength and wisdom is the Creator, may He be glorified and exalted, not the milk of a she- wolf! The same applies to the myth that their idols could protect them from evil or keep wolves away from their flocks.

3 – The sending of greetings cards. On some of these cards are pictures of “Cupid”, who appears as a child with two wings, carrying a bow and arrows. This was the god of love of the pagan Romans – exalted be Allah far above their fabrications and their association of others with Him.

Thirdly: Among the ugly rituals of the Romans on this day was the sacrifice of a dog and a goat, the daubing of their blood onto two youths then washing the blood off with milk, etc… This is something that would cause revulsion in anyone of a sound nature, and it is unacceptable to the sound mind.

4 – Exchange of words of love and desire in the greetings cards which they send to one another, in verse, prose and short phrases. Some of the cards contain comical pictures and funny words, and they often contain the phrase “be my Valentine”. This represents the Christian concept of this festival after it was taken from the pagan concept.

Fourthly: The connection between Saint Valentine and this festival has been questioned by many sources, and it considered to be far from definite. It would have been better for the Christians to reject this pagan festival in which they imitated the pagans. So how about us Muslims, who are commanded to be different from the Christians and the pagans before them?

5 – In many western countries, parties are held during the day and in the evening, where there is mixing of men and women, and dancing. Many of them send gifts such as roses and boxes of chocolates to their wives, friends and those whom they love.

Fifthly: this festival was denounced by the Christian clergy in Italy, the bastion of Catholicism, because it was spreading bad attitudes and having an adverse effect on the minds of young men and women. So it is better for the Muslims to reject it, warn others against it and to fulfil their duty towards it of enjoining what is good and forbidding what is evil.

Someone may ask: why do we Muslims not celebrate this festival?

This question may be answered in several ways:

1. In Islam, the festivals are clearly defined and well established, and no additions or subtractions may be accepted. They are an essential part of our worship and there is no room for ijtihaad or personal opinion. They have been prescribed for us by Allah and His Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Ibn Taymiyah (may Allah have mercy on him) said: “Festivals are part of the laws, clear way and religious ceremonies of which Allah says (interpretation of the meaning): ‘To each among you, We have prescribed a law and a clear way [al-Maa’idah 5:48] ‘For every nation We have ordained religious ceremonies which they must follow’ [al-Hajj 22:67] like the qiblah (direction faced in prayer), prayer and fasting. So there is no difference between joining them in their festival and joining them in their other rituals. Agreeing with the whole festival is agreeing with kufr. Agreeing with some of their minor issues is the same as agreeing with them in some of the branches of kufr.

Festivals are the most distinctive things by which religions are told apart, so whoever celebrates their festivals is agreeing with the most distinctive rituals of kufr. Undoubtedly going along with them in their festivals may in some cases lead to kufr. Dabbling in these things, at the very least, is a sin. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) referred to the fact that every nation has its own festivals when he said: ‘Every nation has its own Eid and this is our Eid’ (al-Bukhaari , 952, Muslim, 1892).” (al-Iqtidaa’, 1/471-472)

Because Valentine’s Day goes back to Roman times, not Islamic times, this means that it is something which belongs exclusively to the Christians, not to Islam, and the Muslims have no share and no part in it. If every nation has its own festivals, as the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said – “Every nation has its Eid” (narrated by al-Bukhaari and Muslim) – then this means that every nation should be distinguished by its festivals. If the Christians have a festival and the Jews have a festival, which belongs exclusively to them, then no Muslim should join in with them, just as he does not share their religion or their direction of prayer.

2. Celebrating Valentine’s Day means resembling or imitating the pagan Romans, then the Christian People of the Book in their imitation of the Romans in something that was not a part of their religion. If it is not allowed to imitate the Christians in things that really are part of their religion – but not part of our religion – then how about things which they have innovated in their religion in imitation of idol-worshippers?!

Imitating the kuffaar in general –whether they are idol-worshippers or People of the Book – is haraam, whether that imitation is of their worship – which is the most serious form – or of their customs and behaviour. This is indicated by the Qur'an, Sunnah and ijmaa’ (scholarly consensus):

(i) From the Qur'an: Allah says (interpretation of the meaning): “And be not as those who divided and differed among themselves after the clear proofs had come to them. It is they for whom there is an awful torment” [Aal ‘Imraan 3:105]

(ii) From the Sunnah: the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Whoever imitates a people is one of them.” (narrated by Ahmad, 2/50; Abu Dawood, 4021) Shaykh al-Islam (Ibn Taymiyah) said: “This hadeeth at the very least indicates that it is haraam to imitate them, although the apparent meaning implies that the one who imitates them is a kaafir, as Allah says (interpretation of the meaning): ‘And if any amongst you takes them (as Awliyaa’ [friends and helpers]), then surely, he is one of them’ [al-Maa’idah 5:51].” (al-Iqtidaa’, 2/722-725)

(iii) With regard to ijmaa’, Ibn Taymiyah narrated that there was agreement that it is haraam to imitate the kuffaar in their festivals at the time of the Sahaabah (may Allah be pleased with them), and Ibn al-Qayyim narrated that there was scholarly consensus on this point. (See al-Iqtidaa’, 1/454; Ahkaam Ahl al-Dhimmah, 2/722-725) Allah has forbidden imitation of the kuffaar; He has described it as hateful and has warned against the consequences of that, in many aayahs, on many occasions, and in various ways, especially imitation of the kuffaar. Sometimes He does that by forbidding following them or obeying them; sometimes by warning against them or being deceived by their plots, following their opinions, or being influenced by their actions, conduct or attitude. Sometimes He does that by mentioning some of their characteristics that will put the believers off from them and from imitating them. Most of the warnings in the Qur'an refer to the Jews and hypocrites (munaafiqeen), then the People of the Book in general and the mushrikeen. Allah tells us in the Qur'an that imitating and obeying the kuffaar may constitute riddah (apostasy). Allah also forbids following them, obeying them, or following their whims and desires and bad characteristics. Prohibition of imitating the kuffaar is one of the basic principles of sharee’ah.

Allah sent His Messenger with guidance and the true religion so that it might prevail over all other religions, and Allah has perfected His religion for mankind: “This day, I have perfected your religion for you, completed My Favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion” [al- Maa’idah 5:3 – interpretation of the meaning]. Allah has made Islam cover all (human) interests at all times and in all places and for all people. So there is no need to adopt the ways of the kuffaar or imitate them. Imitation causes defects in the Muslim personality, such as feelings of inadequacy, inferiority, weakness and defeatism, then it leads to shunning and keeping away from the path and laws of Allah. Experience has shown that admiration for the kuffaar and imitation of them causes people to love them, have complete faith in them and take them as friends and helpers, and to reject Islam and its people, its heroes, its legacy and values, and become ignorant of all of that.

3. The purpose of Valentine’s Day in these times is to spread love between all people, believers and disbelievers alike. Undoubtedly it is haraam to love the kaafirs. Allah says (interpretation of the meaning): “You (O Muhammad) will not find any people who believe in Allah and the Last Day, making friendship with those who oppose Allah and His Messenger (Muhammad), even though they were their fathers or their sons or their brothers or their kindred (people)…” [al-Mujaadilah 58:22] Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah (may Allah have mercy on him) said: “Allah tells us that there is no believer who takes a kaafir as a close friend. Whoever takes a kaafir as a close friend is not a believer. Outward imitation may be taken as a sign of love, so it is haraam.” (al-Iqtidaa’, 1/490).

4. The love referred to in this festival ever since the Christians revived it is romantic love outside the framework of marriage. The result of that is the spread of zinaa (fornication and adultery) and immorality. Hence the Christian clergy opposed it at some stage and abolished it, then it came back again. Most of the young people celebrate it because it lets them fulfil their desires, without thinking of the issues of imitation and resembling that are involved. Look at this tragedy, where they go so far as to commit major sins such as zinaa and the like, by imitating the Christians in something which is part of their worship and which may even be kufr.

Firstly: It is a mistake to confuse what they call the day with what the real intentions are behind it. The love referred to on this day is romantic love, taking mistresses and lovers, boyfriends and girlfriends. It is known to be a day of promiscuity and sex for them, with no restraints or restrictions… They are not talking of pure love between a man and his wife or a woman and her husband, or at least they do not distinguish between the legitimate love in the relationship between husband and wife, and the forbidden love of mistresses and lovers. This festival for them is a means for everyone to express love.

Secondly: Expression of feelings and emotions is not a justification for the Muslim to allocate a day for celebration based on his own thoughts and ideas, and to call it a festival, or make it like a festival or Eid. So how about when it is one of the festivals of the kuffaar? In Islam, a husband loves his wife throughout the year, and he expresses that love towards her with gifts, in verse and in prose, in letters and in other ways, throughout the years – not just on one day of the year.

Thirdly: There is no religion which encourages its followers to love and care for one another more than Islam does. This applies at all times and in all circumstances, not just on one particular day. Indeed, Islam encourages us to express our emotions and love at all times, as the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “If a man loves his brother, let him tell him that he loves him.” (narrated by Abu Dawood, 5124; al-Tirmidhi, 2329; it is saheeh). And he said: “By the One in Whose hand is my soul, you will not enter Paradise until you truly believe, and you will not truly believe until you love one another. Shall I not tell you of something that, if you do it, you will love one another? Spread (the greeting of) salaam amongst yourselves.” (Narrated by Muslim, 54)

Fourthly: Love in Islam is more general and more comprehensive; it is not restricted only to one kind of love, that between a man and a woman. There are many more kinds of love. There is the love of Allah, love of His Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and his companions (may Allah be pleased with them), love for good and righteous people, love and support for the religion, love of martyrdom for the sake of Allah. There are many kinds of love. It is a dangerous mistake to restrict this broad meaning to this one kind of love.

Fifthly: What these people think, that love before marriage is a good thing, is wrong, as has been proven in studies and by real-life experience. In a study conducted by the University of Cairo, on what they called “love marriage” and “traditional marriage”, the following was stated: In marriages which came after a love story, 88% of cases ended in failure, i.e., the success rate was not more than 12%. But in cases of what the study calls traditional marriage, 70% were successful. In other words, the success rate in marriages described as traditional was six times more than those described as “love marriages”. (Risaalah ila Mu’minah, p. 255).

Celebrating Valentine’s Day is not permitted for several reasons:

1 – It is an innovated celebration which has no basis in sharee’ah.

2 – It calls for people to keep their hearts and minds busy with these foolish things that go against the guidance of the pious predecessors (may Allah be pleased with them), so it is not permitted on this day to do any of the customs associated with that holiday, whether that be connected to food, drink, clothing, exchanging gifts or anything else.

The Muslim should be proud of his religion and not be so weak of character that he follows everyone who makes a noise. I ask Allah to protect the Muslims from all temptations, visible and invisible, and to take care of us and give us strength. And Allah knows best.

Cats really are animals who are able to help people learn.

Sometimes (they) are too lazy, seeming to be like idiots, but when they start moving, they start running to and fro with such enthusiasm.

Cats are enthusiastic and carefree at the same time, there is none which are in the middle! (Cats) don't seem to like to be in the middle of being enthusiastic and carefree.

(Their) personalities are also very direct; thinking that they are the best in the world. Maybe it's because of this, that their likes and dislikes are very straightforward.

To be honest, (I) envy these kind of cats. Regarding my emotions, I'm always not able to be direct. If a person is injured, or has been misunderstood by others, if they just had the straighforward personality of cats, in the end they would not leave a bad impression.

Cats don't seem to like me. No matter how hard I try, if I do not like it, I won't even look at it. The song and video revolve around the themes of ritualistic initiation and spiritual duality, which have both been abundantly observed in other videos. Narsha starts by being a good, godly girl and undergoes a profound spiritual transformation.

The video begins with an average working guy (representative of the masses) working hard for his money. While drilling a hole, he accidentally uncovers a secret underground world that immediately attracts him.

He peeps through this world with his left eye, symbolic of the Eye of Horus and/or the All-Seeing Eye.

He is then swept into an alternate, spiritual world—some might call it the astral plane—where he must choose his spiritual destiny.

Narsha poses as a dualistic spiritual being, starting the video wearing classical Christian symbols.

While those words are being said, Narsha undertakes a visual spiritual transformation, illustrating the lyrics’ deeper meaning. Indeed, she is going from being godly to luciferian.

Praise be to Allaah.

Firstly we must note that one of the names of Allaah is al-Hakeem (the Most Wise). The word Hakeem is derived from the same root as hukm (ruling) and hikmah (wisdom). Allaah alone is the One Who issues rulings, and His rulings are the most wise and perfect.

Secondly:

Allaah does not prescribe any ruling but there is great wisdom behind it, which we may understand, or our minds may not be guided to understand it. We may know some of it but a great deal is hidden from us.

Thirdly:

Allaah has mentioned the reason and wisdom behind His enjoining of fasting upon us, as He says (interpretation of the meaning):

“O you who believe! Observing As-Sawm (the fasting) is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you, that you may become Al-Muttaqoon (the pious)”

[al-Baqarah 2:183]

Fasting is a means of attaining taqwa (piety, being conscious of Allaah), and taqwa means doing that which Allaah has enjoined and avoiding that which He has forbidden.

Fasting is one of the greatest means of helping a person to fulfil the commands of Islam.

The scholars (may Allaah have mercy on them) have mentioned some of the reasons why fasting is prescribed, all of which are characteristics of taqwa, but there is nothing wrong with quoting them here, to draw the attention of fasting people to them and make them keen to attain them.

Among the reasons behind fasting are:

1 – Fasting is a means that makes us appreciate and give thanks for pleasures. For fasting means giving up eating, drinking and intercourse, which are among the greatest pleasures. By giving them up for a short time, we begin to appreciate their value. Because the blessings of Allaah are not recognized, but when you abstain from them, you begin to recognize them, so this motivates you to be grateful for them.

2 – Fasting is a means of giving up haraam things, because if a person can give up halaal things in order to please Allaah and for fear of His painful torment, then he will be more likely to refrain from haraam things. So fasting is a means of avoiding the things that Allaah has forbidden.

3 – Fasting enables us to control our desires, because when a person is full his desires grow, but if he is hungry then his desire becomes weak. Hence the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “O young men! Whoever among you can afford to get married, let him do so, for it is more effective in lowering the gaze and protecting one’s chastity. Whoever cannot do that, let him fast, for it will be a shield for him.”

4 – Fasting makes us feel compassion and empathy towards the poor, because when the fasting person tastes the pain of hunger for a while, he remembers those who are in this situation all the time, so he will hasten to do acts of kindness to them and show compassion towards them. So fasting is a means of feeling empathy with the poor.

5 – Fasting humiliates and weakens the Shaytaan; it weakens the effects of his whispers (waswaas) on a person and reduces his sins. That is because the Shaytaan “flows through the son of Adam like blood” as the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said, but fasting narrows the passages through which the Shaytaan flows, so his influence grows less.

Shaykh al-Islam said in Majmoo’ al-Fataawa, 25/246

Undoubtedly blood is created from food and drink, so when a person eats and drinks, the passages through which the devils flow – which is the blood – become wide. But if a person fasts, the passages through which the devils flow become narrow, so hearts are motivated to do good deeds, and to give up evil deeds.

6 – The fasting person is training himself to remember that Allaah is always watching, so he gives up the things that he desires even though he is able to take them, because he knows that Allaah can see him.

7 – Fasting means developing an attitude of asceticism towards this world and its desires, and seeking that which is with Allaah.

8 – It makes the Muslim get used to doing a great deal of acts of worship, because the fasting person usually does more acts of worship and gets used to that.

These are some of the reasons why fasting is enjoined. We ask Allaah to help us to achieve them and to worship Him properly.

goals to set for this Ramadhan, and
I thought it would be great to share it with you :)

10 goals to set for this Ramadhan

1. Eat, drink and be moderate
Almost all of us do it - once Iftar time hits, we just keep plowing food and drink into our mouths till it's hard to move after wards. And we know this is totally contrary to the spirit of Ramadhan, through which we're supposed to learn self-control not self-indulgence. Let's try to stick to the Prophetic rule on eating: fill our stomachs with one-third food, one-third water and one-third breathing space, even in Ramadhan.

2. Give a dollar a day in charity... (or five or ten)
The Prophet Muhammad swt, was always generous but even more so in Ramadhan. Let's open our hearts and dig a little deeper in our wallets this year. Even less than a dollar a day adds up. Whatever you can give, it's the intention that counts.

3. Memorize 4 new Surah's
Memorizing the Quran often seems like a daunting task. But the key is to do it in small bites. Since there are four weeks in Ramadhan, try to memorize one new Surah a week. Start off with a short, easy one. Once you've started, you'll build momentum and may even want to memorize a longer one the following week.

4. Go for Tarawih prayers
Post-Iftar, the first urge is to sleep after an exhausting day. But try your best to head out to the mosque for Tarawih prayers. Praying alone is wonderful, but doing it in congregation is fantastic. The community spirit is part of Ramadan's blessings. Don't miss it this year. If going every day is not possible, try going at least one week.

5. Attend the Tarawih prayer in which the recitation of the Quran will be finished
Call the local mosque and find out which day the Imam will be finishing the recitation of the Quran in prayer. Attend to not only hear part of the Quran's recitation in prayer, but also participate in the heart-rending Doas that follow it.

6. Stop swearing/backbiting – with a special box
It's hard not to shoot our mouths off when we are upset. Whether we utter those four-letter words or backbite about someone to our family and friends, we know this isn't the God-approved way of letting off steam. In Ramadhan, when we want to build our spirituality, we've got to wage Jihad against our bad habits.

Try this: get a box and every time you catch yourself swearing or backbiting put some money in it. It could be a buck or less. The point is to choose an amount that makes it feel like punishment.

At the end of the month send the money to a charity or buy a gift for the person whom you've backbitten the most against. Any taker?? hihi

7. Call/email your relatives
You'd think that given the easy access to email, competitive long-distance calling rates, phone cards, etc. these days, we'd keep in touch with family and friends more often. But the opposite seems to be the case, as we get caught up in life's "busyness."

Strengthening ties with family members and keeping in touch with friends is part of our way of life and an act Allah is very pleased with. This Ramadan, call family and friends or at least email :)

8. Go on a technology diet
Even if you work in the IT industry, you can do this. Avoid checking personal email and surfing the web during your fast. After Iftar, instead of plopping yourself in front of the screen, go to Tarawih. The same goes for the television. The point is to try to give our full attention to spiritual elevation this month.

Avoid checking personal email is totally doable kan :) Work related emails still bole check hehe.. hmmm but what if its the same email account? Well then, pandai pandai la ye *wink*

Oh and if you dont get any new or very little post this month here, it is me doing it on purpose ;p

9. Read 5 minutes of Quran a day...just five, not more, not less
Even if you feel you've got absolutely no time, set a timer or the alarm on your cell phone and find a relatively quiet place. You can read the first page of the Quran you open or follow a sequence. The choice is yours. The point is simply to connect with God through His revelation in the month of the Quran.

10. Forgive everyone who has hurt you
Still got a festering wound from the fight with your friend last year? Still upset about something your spouse said during a heated argument? Or are you still bitter about the way your parents sometimes treated you as a kid? Let go of the anger and pain this Ramadhan and forgive those who have hurt you. Forgiving someone is not only good for the body, but it's also great for the soul. And in Ramadhan, ten days of which are devoted to Allah's forgiveness, shouldn't we lesser beings forgive too?

If you find it very difficult to forgive everyone, forgive at least three people :)

My dad once said "Forget the bad things others did to you and the good deeds you did to others, instead remember the bad things you did to others and the good deeds others did to you".

Me Muslim, you Christian – What’s ê Difference??

THE QUESTION:

Dear Muslim friends, I am a Christian man and have lived in the United States my entire life. I have always been fascinated with the subject of religion and have taken the time to study the Islamic faith somewhat.

As I write this, it is September 13, 2007, which is the first day of Ramadan this year. I pray that you have a blessed time of fasting and prayer unto God (Allah).

I have a question in regard to your position on salvation and the afterlife. Here is some background so that you will understand where I am coming from.

I personally believe in the Torah and the Gospels as do other Christians, but I do *not* in any fashion believe that there are “three gods” or anything of the sort. The Bible itself teaches that there is only *One God* and the belief in “three” is from sources other than the Bible. “One” by no means implies that there are really “three.” To this day, I still can’t really figure out where Christians have come up with the concept of “three in one.” There is only One God. And, like Muslims, I do not ascribe any “partners” with God – no humans, animals, etc. And neither do I worship his prophets or messengers as being equal with God, though I do acknowledge that they are sent from Him.

Of course, because I am a Christian, I do feel that Jesus -may peace be upon him – was the “Messiah,” just like other Christians believe (that he died on the cross, etc.) My question in regard to Islam, pertained to the fact that Muslims (as I understand them) deny the crucifixion of Christ, and accept the prophethood of Muhammad.

Although I am not a “Muslim,” I do most certainly worship only One God, Who I believe is the same as “Allah,” whom the Muslims worship. But because I am a Christian, I do not hold the same views as do Muslims in regard to the prophethood of Muhammad and the crucifixion of Jesus.

My question to you is: is it considered necessary in Islam for a man like myself to convert to Islam in order to go to Paradise (Heaven), even though I ascribe worship to only One God now as Christian? Is it acceptable to still be a “Christian” in the eyes of Allah, and go to Heaven?

I’m just curious, and perhaps the answer is not as cut and dry as I make it. I ask with an open mind and heart. Please get back to me when you can. Regarding your question, like you said, there really are no cut and dry answers. Would it surprise you if I told you that in Islam, even Muslims can never be sure whether they will be going to heaven or hell?

Judging in the Place of God

We believe that the judgment lies in the hands of God, as He is the Most Just and even more important, He is the Most Loving and Most Merciful and Compassionate. It is never for us to judge in His place.

In fact, it is prohibited in Islam to specify Hell for any human being, no matter what his or her beliefs appear to be.

Muslim scholars have also taught that one shouldn’t hold any human being in contempt because he or she might be closer to God than oneself.
Being our Creator, only God knows what is in our hearts, our intentions, our actions, our speech. He knows whether we have harmed people or whether we have sought for peace and understanding among His creation.

Mercy and Compassion, Not Justice

As Muslims, we believe that everyone will be held accountable for their deeds and speech, and we live in hope that God will judge us not according to His justice, but according to His Infinite Mercy and Compassion.

There is a saying of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) that basically means that everyone who believes in his or her heart that there is no god but the One True God (Allah in Arabic, and El in Hebrew) will ultimately dwell in Paradise.

In addition, in the Qur’an, which as you may know, is what Muslims believe to be the revelation of God’s words to the Prophet Muhammad, God says:

*{Verily, those who believe (in that which is revealed to you, Muhammad), and those who are Jews, and Christians, and Sabaeans – whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day and doeth right – surely their reward is with their Lord, and no fear shall come upon them neither shall they grieve.}* (Al-Baqarah 2:62)

Now, the translation here mentions “Christians”. Technically, the term in the Qur’an is “Nasara“. In Arabic, and in the Muslim understanding of the life of Prophet Jesus (peace and blessings be upon him), his followers were called the “Nasara“, or the “followers and supporters”.

As the Qur’anic verse points out, the reward of all the people mentioned in the verse is with their Lord. More importantly, they have nothing to fear or grieve, and can only hope for Paradise through leading a pious and peaceful life, doing good deeds and helping their fellow creatures, all the while worshipping none but the One God.

Furthermore, the Qur’an explicitly states that *{We never punish until we have sent a messenger.}* (Al-Israa 17:15)

People who lived before the Prophet Muhammad, or even those who lived after him but did not have enough knowledge about him in order to accept that he is a prophet of God like other prophets, are called “ahl al-fitrah“. In Islam, these people are forgiven by God because the message did not reach them.

However, Jonathan, if you don’t know enough about Muhammad, you might be interested to read up on him from original sources. The Qur’an says:

*{And thou wilt surely find that, of all people, those who say, “Behold, we are Christians”, come closest to feeling affection for those who believe in this divine writ. This is so because there are priests and monks among them, and because they are not given to arrogance.

For, when they come to understand what has been bestowed from on high upon this Apostle (Muhammad), thou canst see their eyes overflow with tears, because they recognize something of its truth; and they say: “O our Sustainer! We do believe; make us one, then, with all who bear witness to the truth.”}* (Al-Ma’idah 5:82-83)

Muslims Are… Also Believers in Christ

On another note, you interestingly ask, “Is it acceptable to still be a “Christian” in the eyes of Allah, and go to Heaven?”, placing the word Christian between quote marks.

If you meant to say “follower of Jesus Christ”, rather than “believer in Christ’s divinity”, would it surprise you if I told you that Muslims are “Christian” in the sense that they are also followers of Jesus Christ (peace be upon him)?

We also believe that he is the Messiah, and that is how he is mentioned in the Qur’an.

You can read the verse that says:

*{And remember when the angels said: O Mary! Lo! Allah gives thee glad tidings of a word from him, whose name is the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, illustrious in the world and the Hereafter, and one of those brought near unto Allah.}* (Aal `Imran 3:45)

There are many other verses that mention Jesus as the Messiah, but I will only quote a few:

*{O People of the Scripture! Do not exaggerate in your religion nor utter aught concerning Allah save the truth. The Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, was only a messenger of Allah, and His word which He conveyed unto Mary, and a spirit from Him. So believe in Allah and His messengers, and say not “Three” – Cease! it is better for you! – Allah is only One Allah. Far is it removed from His Transcendent Majesty that He should have a son. His is all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth. And Allah is sufficient as Defender.}* (An-Nisaa’ 4:171)

And again:

*{The Messiah, son of Mary, was no other than a messenger, messengers (the like of whom) had passed away before him. And his mother was a saintly woman. And they both used to eat (earthly) food…}* (Al-Ma’idah 5:75)

The verses about Jesus Christ and his mother, the Virgin Mary are beautiful in the Qur’an. It might interest you to read a translation of those verses.

Jesus’s mother, Mary, is even considered a prophet, and not just a saint, according to some strong opinions of Muslim scholars because she received revelation from God through the angel. This actually makes Islam the only religion in the world who has female prophets. In fact, there is a whole chapter in the Quran named after her.

Original Innocence, Not Sin

You are right when you say that Muslims do not believe in the crucifixion of Christ. We believe he is the Messiah, but this word means in Arabic “the one whom God has wiped clean of any sins”, among other things.

Other scholars of Islam say that the name “Messiah” also refers, in the context of Jesus as the Messiah, to the fact that when Jesus wiped his hands over any sick person, that person would be miraculously healed by God.

For Muslims his being the Messiah does not mean that he died on the cross. I hope that I am not offending you when I say this, but this is what we believe.

The verse in the Qur’an that mentions this says:

*{And their saying, “We killed the Messiah, `Isa son of Maryam, Messenger of Allah.” They did not kill him and they did not crucify him but it was made to seem so to them. Those who argue about him are in doubt about it. They have no real knowledge of it, just conjecture. But they certainly did not kill him. Allah raised him up to Himself. Allah is Almighty, All-Wise.}* (An-Nisaa’ 4:157)

So, because we believe that the Qur’an is the word of God and that God is the All-Knowing, we believe that He, in His Mercy and Wisdom, “raised” Jesus up to himself. We do not believe that he was crucified simply because we do not believe that he needed to be crucified as expiation for the sins of mankind.

The reason for this is that Muslims do not accept the idea of original sin, but in contrast, accept as true the idea of “original innocence”, if one can term it that. Actually, we consider that although Adam and Eve did sin, they repented, and because God is the Most Merciful, He forgave them.

And even if they had not been forgiven, we believe that it would still have never affected us because according to Islam, each human is responsible for his or her own deeds only.

This is why Muslims believe that everyone is born free of any sin, and that everyone will be held accountable on the Day of Judgment only for the sins he or she committed.

Following Muhammad… Following Christ

After saying all this, it probably sounds strange when I say that Muslims are also followers of Christ, doesn’t it? However, we maintain that by following Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), we are actually following all the prophets of God that were sent before him.

You see, in Islam, we do not think that Prophet Muhammad appeared with some new religion that is different from that of Adam, Noah, Moses, Abraham Joseph, Jacob, or Jesus. We believe in all of these prophets, and that they were all saying the same thing: “Believe in One God and worship only Him.” That’s it – nothing more, nothing less.

So technically, we are Mosaic, Christian, Abrahamic, Jacobian, Ishmaelite, and Muhammadans, and so on, because we believe in all of the messages of all those prophets. In the Qur’an it is mentioned that the Prophet Muhammad is only the final prophet in a long line of prophets.

In his sayings, the Prophet Muhammad calls all the other prophets “my brothers”, because he is very aware of the heritage and long tradition of prophethood that he belonged to.

In addition, in the Qur’an, God tells us:

*{Say: We believe in Allah and that which is revealed unto us and that which was revealed unto Abraham, and Ishmael, and Isaac, and Jacob, and the tribes, and that which Moses and Jesus received, and that which the prophets received from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and unto Him we have surrendered.}* (Al-Baqarah 2: 136)

That means we believe in the message that Jesus (peace be upon him) received just as we believe in the message that Muhammad (peace be upon him) received.

We do not see Islam as the religion of Muhammad, but rather, it is the religion of God, and it is the same message that all the prophets of God received throughout history.

By the way, it might be prudent here to explain that the word “Islam” should not be offensive when I use it in the sentence above because the meaning of the word in Arabic comes from the lexical root s-l-m, from which the Arabic words meaning “peace”, “purity” and “submission” are derived.

Therefore, the technical meaning of “Islam” is peaceful submission, and a Muslim is “someone who submits peacefully to his Creator”.

And submitting to the Creator means believing in all His prophets and messengers, and not picking or choosing some of them alone. In other words, it was the duty of every follower of Moses to believe in Jesus Christ as a messenger of God. The same would apply for the followers of Jesus to believe in Muhammad as a messenger of God. And, of course, as I mentioned before, for every follower of Muhammad to believe in all the prophets who came before him (peace be upon them all).

Hye I'm back.I found this article while searching on google .
And i taught that it will help us to make study intresting,
enjoy reading it :

1.Use music. Put some music that doesn't have lyrics or words. Listen to it while you study. You might find that you can do anything while doing this, especially if it's music that you find very inspiring. Skip this step if you are easily distracted by music.

2.Keep snacks close. Get together some healthy snacks to nibble on as you study. Try not to have ones with lots of calories as you're not moving much while studying. Allowing yourself a little nibble every now and then helps the study time to pass more pleasantly. Also, it is often effective if you use snacks as a form of treat for yourself every time you complete a part of the work.

3.Create an excellent study area. This is really important. You must feel like you "own" your little study space, whether it be a corner, a den or a whole room. Even if space is tight, you can arrange with family that a certain space is yours for study at certain hours, no matter what. Decorate your spot with favorite things like postcards, knick-knacks, figurines, notes from friends etc. Even temporary spaces can be decorated with bits and pieces you keep in a portable box. But, try not to make your study area too distracting. The less clutter in your study area, the better.

4.Provide good lighting and a comfortable chair which is at the right height for the desk. Nothing makes study more difficult than feeling uncomfortable as you sit and not being able to read the work properly.

5.Ensure adequate ventilation. Nothing sends a person to sleep faster than lack of air. Get fresh air into your room regularly - even in winter! Make sure it circulates, even if this means using a fan in winter to blow around warm air; this is better than stale, stagnant air.

6.Have good temperature levels. Being too hot or too cold will make studying hard and you'll be tempted to crawl off to somewhere more comfortable. Turn the heating on or the cooling if you can. If you can't, then improvise and do what most students have always done to heat and cool: open or close windows & doors; use a red heat lamp at your feet (uses a lot less electricity); use a blanket; remove or put on extra layers; drink hot or cold drinks; put on a fan etc.

7.Get groovy stationery & desk gear. Your supplies can encourage you to study - a pen that feels just right in your hand, paper that is so soft the pen glides over it, a bookstand that stops your book from slumping over, a row of colored highlighters begging to be used and a scented eraser that smells delicious. Think of the things that you enjoy having around you at study time and make these your little props for amusing yourself with during the study. Don't let them distract you from the study though!

8.Schedule time for study, time for play. Don't look at study as a never-ending process. Give it its timeslot and devote yourself to it during this times and then reward yourself with the things you really feel like doing afterwards. Use the study time effectively, don't doodle, feel sorry for yourself or call up friends. That just stretches out the pain and increases your lack of interest. Assign the tasks to be done, do them and then forget about it and go and do the other stuff that you feel like doing.

9.Look at your study from a different perspective. Maybe it's study in an area you really dislike or you just don't care about. Try to think outside the actual pages before you and put the topic into a wider perspective. Think of the sorts of careers people have using this study topic; think of how everyday problems are solved using the techniques that the study is requiring of you. This can help to enliven otherwise dull matter and can also impress a teacher if you show how this knowledge applies elsewhere in some way. It demonstrates application to the topic in spite of your reservations. And hopefully, it also helps to chase away the boredom of it.

10.Realize that study is about more than the topic before you. Sure, it might not grab you the same way that a basketball game outdoors would or a TV show you're missing because of the study. All the same, you're learning coping skills. You're learning how to prioritize, how to be patient and how to deal with something you don't like or feel disinterested in. Perhaps it doesn't feel like it at the time but these are some of life's most important skills because you'll come up against the temptation to fall into boredom many times - during work, a meeting, ceremonies, even parties! You're also learning about the general way the world works and where you might best slot into it yourself. How can you be sure you do or don't want to do things in life unless you know about them first?

11.Take breaks. Frequent, short breaks are better for you and your thinking processes than infrequent, long breaks. Set an alarm on your computer or on a clock to go off every half hour and go for a stretch, get a coffee or milkshake, see what the weather's like outside. No matter how old you are, try to make your material into a game. It works so well. If you have a younger brother or sister, let them help you. Make up a song or a rap about your material. You would be surprised by how much it helps.

12.If you are doing word problems in math, change the problem to make it more interesting or even a bit silly. For example: Beth has 5 apples. If she goes to the apple orchard and picks 5 times the amount of apples she already has, but drops 3 on the way home how many apples she have now? Isn't that a boring problem? You CAN make it more interesting...For example: Mr. Gidget has 5 bubbles. He goes to the magical bubble island and his friend Mr. Gadget gives him 5 times the amount of bubbles he already has. If Mr. Gidget drops 3 of the bubbles into a pit filled with needles, how many bubbles does he have? Isn't that better? If you use funny names, objects you like, or made-up places, the problem is 10 times more interesting, making it more likely that you will solve it.

13.If you like music, create a short song about the general points of what you're studying. If you don't have time to make a song, search YouTube. Chances are is there will be some sort of relevant song. You might want to start with the Animaniacs. If you just sing their songs to yourself it can help you to ace that test! Be sure to print out the lyrics to the songs and make it a point to sing the song at least once a night so you'll remember it.

14.Make flash cards. The best site on the internet to make flashcards on is Quizlet. When making your flashcards, always do the term in capital letters and the definition in lowercase letters. Using different handwriting, colors, and decorating your flashcards will help you remember them. Be sure that you actually USE your flashcards. Just making them won't do anything for you at all.

15.Go over your notes and draw pictures. For example, If one of your notes is "Ohio produces more cheese than Wisconsin", draw some cheese and a picture of Ohio smiling and Wisconsin frowning. This works really well if you are a visual learner.

16.If you are reading your textbook, use funny accents or weird voices. It is also good if you record yourself and listen to the recording at least once every night.

17.Use mnemonic devices. For example, the 5 great lakes = HOMES (Huron, Ontario, Michigan, Erie, Superior) However, make them creative so that you can easily remember them. A creative one that I have heard for remembering the eight levels of classification is Dumb King Philip Came Over From Greece Sneezing (Domain, Kingdom, Phylum, Class, Order, Family, Genus, Species)

18.Make small posters that you can hang up around you room or around your house. Decorate them and draw pictures. On the night before the test or quiz, present and explain them to your family.

19.Grab a friend that is goofy but can be serious and create a skit. This works especially well for social studies (you can re-enact the pilgrims landing at Plymouth Rock, for example) and Language Arts (Enact the ending or one of the key points to whatever book you're reading. Be sure that you say exactly what the characters in the book say, even if it sounds cheesy)

20.Pretend you're a teacher and create a test or quiz that you can take yourself or make your older sibling(s) and/or parent(s) take. Have a parent or older sibling that didn't take the test grade it. If you feel confident, you can grade it yourself.

21.If you have to take a test on some boring book in English class, try replacing the characters in the story with characters from video games, TV shows, or characters from any other forms of media if you can. This makes the material a LOT more interesting.

22.Try a change of scenery Pack up your textbook, notes and binder and try heading to your local coffee shop or library. Bonus: someone there may be able to help you with your homework!

23.Just relax; Why not try getting a massage. It really works!!!

24.Just try your best, don't overstress yourself and you'll do well.

25.The more fun, the more worthwhile! Play math games online or play a writing game on paper!

choice for meat is PIG. There are a lot of farms in these countries to A

Yeaaah,
my life is full of GEDIKNESS.

Can you see my bling-bling nail.
I made it myself during the assembely at school,
teachers keep on babbling on the stage and make the assembely time going on longer.
Thats what the student like, cause they are finishing other subject period.lmao.
I'm keep on busy doing my nails durig the assembely. I cut the jewelery out from my calculator

Whenever I tried to alert Muslims to this, many looked at me like I was crazy, like I didn’t know what I was talking about…but I think you should know that I am a Muslim too. I have studied comparative religion, and have been heavily involved in critically researching various aspects of “new religions” for approximately 10 years to date.
Most of my, and my colleagues, findings are shocking to say the least. At first, even we found them hard to swallow. And then slowly, with each new day Allah (SWT) provided more and more wisdom to help us make sense of what we were uncovering. We have looked at banned footage, articles, interviews and various other research materials.

What I’m about to share now, may seem like hogwash to many people, but all I ask is that you open your heart and mind to this information and before you say I’m crazy, I challenge you to go out and research for yourself.

So yes, we know that Masjid Al-Aqsa has been under siege for many years. Palestinian people have not known peace since the State of Israel was formed in 1947.

So go ahead and light a flame, and you’ll see that the heart of that flame is BLUE. Jinn also live for thousands of years and travel very fast (which explains why all the ancient civilizations had similar looking “gods” at least one of whom was blue).

THE DAILY DIGGING UNDER MASJID AL-AQSA

THE PROPHET SULAYMAN A.S. (SOLOMON) & THE SECRET HE BURIED

· Going back in history… Sulayman (AS) or (King Solomon), was responsible for building what is commonly known as the TEMPLE OF SOLOMON.

· Sulaymans (AS) rule was different from other prophets in that Allah (SWT) allowed him to rule over the race of man, and the race of Jinn.

· Sulayman was tasked with spreading Allahs word ie: the belief and worship in ONE god.

· It came to Sulayman's attention that groups of people in the land were still practicing magic and the occult. He ordered his guards to go throughout the land and confiscate every book, manuscript, tablet, or page that any occult or instruction to do magic or witchcraft was written on, as these TAUGHT people the practice of summoning spirits (Jinn).

· In Islam we know that this is haraam. Qur'an tells us that Jinn and Man must co-exist in parallel dimensions, but must not communicate with each other. Jinn are invisible, they can see us, but we cannot see them. There is no such thing as a “good” or helpful Jinn, because any Jinn that speaks/interacts with a human is directly going against what Allah commanded: NO CONTACT. And so it is vice versa.

· So, on Prophet Sulayman's instruction, they brought all books to him, and he then buried them where he thought they would be safest i.e.: no one could get / steal them.

· Where did he bury them?? In the foundations of the temple, under his throne! He appointed guards known as the Knights of the Temple of Solomon (Knights Templars) to guard the temple day and night.

· The Knights did this initially. When Sulayman (AS) passed away (May Allah grant him Jannah), The Knights discovered what it is they were guarding. They moved completely away from religion and God, and immersed themselves under the power and influence of Iblees (Shaytaan). (Recent interviews with members of the occult confirms that Satan rewards his followers with masses of wealth and material gain in this world, provided they do whatever he wants them to ie: spreading corruption, ungodliness and destruction on earth. · Subsequently over the ages, the manuscripts were smuggled into Europe, and the Knights Templars took on the name “Free Masons” – With this new found power, they quickly spread this knowledge across the world, in the forms of secret societies – ALL WITH A COMMON GOAL: To serve their “God” Satan, and to prepare for the arrival of the one-eyed Dajjal, who is Satans representative on earth. 1) "Islam" means "peace through the submission to God".

2) "Muslim" means "anyone or anything that submits itself to the will of God".

3) Islam is not a cult. Its followers number over 1.5 billion worldwide. Along with Judaism and Christianity, it is considered to be one of the three Abrahamic traditions.

4) There are five pillars of practice in Islam. These practices must be undertaken with the best of effort in order to be considered a true Muslim: A) Shahadah - declaration of faith in the oneness of God and that Muhammad is the last prophet of God. B) Formal prayer five times a day. C) Fasting during the daylight hours in the month of Ramadan. D) Poor-due "tax" - 2.5% of one's savings given to the needy at the end of each year. E) Pilgrimage to Mecca at least once, if physically and financially able.

5) There are six articles of faith in Islam. These are the basic beliefs that one must have in order to be considered a true Muslim. They are belief in: A) the One God. B) all the prophets of God. C) the original scriptures revealed to Prophets Moses, David, Jesus, and Muhammad. D) the angels. E) the Day of Judgment and the Hereafter. F) the divine decree (or destiny).

12) Muslims believe in and acknowledge all the prophets of old, from Adam to Jesus. 22) The word "jihad" does not mean "holy war". Instead, it means the inner struggle that one endures in trying to submit their will to the will of God. Some Muslims may say they are going for "jihad" when fighting in a war to defend themselves or their fellow Muslims, but they only say this because they are conceding that it will be a tremendous struggle. But there are many other forms of jihad which are more relevant to the everyday life of a Muslim such as the struggles against laziness, arrogance, stinginess, or the struggle against a tyrant ruler or against the temptation of Satan, or against one's own ego, etc.

23) Women are not oppressed in Islam. Any Muslim man that oppresses a woman is not following Islam. Among the many teachings of Prophet Muhammad that protected the rights and dignity of women is his saying, "...the best among you are those who treat their wives well." (Tirmidhi)

24) Islam grants women numerous rights in the home and in society. Among them are the right to earn money, to financial support, to an education, to an inheritance, to being treated kindly, to vote, to a dowry, to keep their maiden name, to worship in a mosque, etc., etc.

25) Muslim women wear the head-covering (hijab) in fulfillment of God's decree to dress modestly. From a practical standpoint, it serves to identify one as attempting to follow God in daily life and, therefore, protects women from unwanted advances from men. This type of modest dress has been worn by righteous women throughout history. Prominent examples are traditional Catholic Nuns, Mother Teresa and the Virgin Mary, mother of Jesus.

26) Arranged marriages are allowed in Islam but are not required. Whereas "forced" marriages, usually stemming from cultural practice, are forbidden. Divorce is permissible, however, reconciliation is what is most encouraged. But if there are irreconcilable differences then Islam permits a fair and just divorce.

27) Islam and the "Nation of Islam" are two different religions. Islam is a religion for all races and enjoins the worship of the one unseen God who, orthodox Muslims believe, never took human form. A man went to a barbershop to have his hair cut and his beard trimmed. As the barber began to work, they began to have a good conversation. They talked about so many things and various subjects.

When they eventually touched on the subject of God, the barber said: "I
don't believe that God exists."

"Why do you say that?" asked the customer.

"Well, you just have to go out in the street to realize that God doesn't exist. Tell me, if God exists, would there be so many sick people? Would there be abandoned children? If God existed, there would be neither suffering nor pain. I can't imagine a loving a God who would allow all of these things."

The customer thought for a moment, but didn't respond because he didn't want to start an argument. The barber finished his job and the customer left the shop. Just after he left the barbershop, he saw a man in the street with long, stringy, dirty hair and an untrimmed beard. He looked dirty and unkempt.

The customer turned back and entered the barber shop again and he said to the barber: "You know what? Barbers do not exist."

"How can you say that?" asked the surprised barber. "I am here, and I am a barber. And I just worked on you!"

She is so much caring and lovely wife… She take care everything efficiently, a very well arrange of everything… She is also a very very good cooker… She loves experience so much in the kitchen ...to innovate new menus. Ahmad gets so much praised from his office colleagues whoever taste Sarah’s foods. Sarah always prepares food for him to eat in office…she said it’s not good to have food outside… She manages to awake very early morning to prepare food for her husband ...she said... homemade food more health and more hygienist…

Everyone who doesn’t know Sarah thinks her education background something to do with chief or something….But actually she is an architect and done her master degree in economy major..... But her truely dedication to her beloved children and husband make her decide to be full time mother and wife...

Sarah loves so much to decorate our house. She really makes our house really like a small jannah on the earth… The kids love their rooms, she designs them very nicely. She changes the living rooms interior design many times…. … the touch of arts in every single part of our house… Everything that she touche become a gold...

Her background in economic help so much controling our financial matter… She really care her husband wealth. She always said it one of her responsibility as a wife to manage our financial matter…. She makes our financial planning very detail…. Even she has arranged the plan for the next some years till our kids reach university… Sarah said.. it’s good to plan everything earlier to make sure our kids will get best in their education… mashaAllah…

He remembers how his wife always smiling, always checking him anytime when he is in office… always send his long messages…always ask if he has lunch ... He becomes so much pamper with all her loves and attentions…. He just cant imagine what will be his live without her….

He might have acted so much indifferent… It’s his lack as a man… He always busy with his jobs. All his doing just for the guaranty of the future of his family …. But that make him forget to give best care to his beloved…

Ahmad reach the hospital……..

He run straight away to the ICU room….. he meets Mirna and the rest family waiting outside…. Ahamad doesnt hear what they say… his mind only wants to see his beloved wife….

His wife Sarah is there…she is sleeping with some equipments around her…. MashaAllah she still look beauty and peace…. Ahmad holds his wife hands, he starts whispering on her ears… "I love you so much dear… please don’t leave me…. I promise inshaAllah will get you more time… We will have long vacation dear, only both of us… Please wake up dear.. talk to me.. I miss hear your voice.. I will be hear to listen you whole days and night…. "

Ahmad just crying….. his wife doesn’t response him…. He sees tears come out from his wife eyes… mashaAllah… She must hear what he says…

Ahmad whispering again more… he wishpering the word of tauhid lailaha ilallah many times……until he tired himself.. but his wife doesn’t response anymore at all.. until he feel tired and asleep beside her….

Ahmad awakes with the noisy around.. he sees the docter, the nurse busy. He sees they are pumping his wife chest, electricity shocking… etc… He just realize something happened with Sarah… he starts get panic.. put the nurse asks him to wait outside….

After some minutes.. the doctor come out…

He says… : "I am sorry Ahmad…. We have tried our best.. your wife has gone in peace… "

That word seem ruin all his world…. the pain unspeakable. As a true believer Ahmad only can says.. : "innalillahi wa inna ilahi rojiun….”

Only Allah knows best how it feels… Oh dear Sarah please forgives me.. May Allah give you the best place for you… The sun is gone….. The days will be so dark…it will be so much different without you dear….. . Lahaula walla quwata illa billah….

The words 'Islam' means peace and obedience in arabic

In Korea, due to the existance of ‘freedom of religion’ along with ‘freedom to choose one’s own religion,’ various kinds of religions are able to coexist in peace. There are people like me who does not have a/any religion, but others have their religions such as Christianity, Buddhism, Confusianism, Islam, Hiduism…and many more; there are so much I can not write them down. Among these, Christianity, Buddhism and Confusianism are the three main religions in Korea;though they are not tate religion, these three has the most followers. Christianity from 1846, Confusianism from the beginning of Josun Dynasty, 1392(was the state religion in Josun) and Buddhism officially from 372(was the state religion of Goguryue.

You can hardly see Koreans here, actually. ) There is a ‘huge’ mosque located in Itaewon, for muslims living in Seoul. Many muslims from foreign countries frequently visit here as well. There is a Korean site for this place.

When you go through the gate to Masjid(Islam Mosque), on the way up, you can see this sentence in Arabic language. It means "I swear to god that there are no other gods other than Allah. I also swear that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah."

On the right side of masjid, there is an academy. Prince Sultan Islamic Academy. Young children learn English here.

Above is the picture of Masjid in Itaewon. You could see many muslims waiting for their praying times. This mosque was very grand, but also somewhat beautiul due to its dome structure. It was built with supports from various muslim countries.

I wish to visit korean muslim places someday :)
